Transport does not start when a truck arrives at the gate. It starts when the right person has prepared the right vehicle, at the right location, with enough information for the carrier to collect it without guessing.
Auction facilities may have their own release workflow. Before transport is requested, verify that the buyer, broker, or designated representative can authorize pickup and that the carrier will have the information needed at the gate.
A vehicle described only as “auction unit” leaves out the facts that affect loading: Does it run? Are keys present? Does it steer, brake, and roll? Is it low clearance or modified? Accurate condition notes let the transport team plan rather than discover constraints at pickup.
A correct auction release still fails operationally if the receiving location is closed, inaccessible, or unclear. Give business hours, contact details, lot or gate instructions, and a real receiver who can accept the vehicle.
Retain release confirmations, auction condition information, and pickup/delivery photos. Those records make it easier to resolve a question quickly if one comes up later.
